Acknowledging the classic declaration of the Christian faith contained in the “Apostles Creed” we affirm our belief in:

  • The divine inspiration and authority of the sacred canon of scripture contained in the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16,17)
  • The eternal existence of the Lord God our creator who, though one God, is eternally existent in three persons – The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1,26)
  • The love, grace and mercy of God the Father shown to mankind by the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, for the salvation of the world. (John 3:16)
  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who was born of the virgin Mary by the supernatural conception of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35); lived a sinless life in perfect conformity to God’s will and ways (Hebrews 7:26); surrendered His life on Calvary’s cross as a substitute for the penalty of mankind’s sins (Romans 4:25); was buried but bodily raised from the dead as Lord and head of the church, His spiritual Body and Bride (Ephesians 1:20-23); is returning to earth with power and great glory to judge mankind. (Matthew 25:31)
  • Salvation as a free gift of God’s grace by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This salvation is based on the righteousness which Jesus Christ earned for us, for which grace we should eagerly respond by pledging ourselves to His service as faithful disciples to serve His will the rest of our lives. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
  • The priesthood of all believers, that is the individual accessibility of any believer to the throne of God by faith in Christ Jesus, apart from any system of mediation (Ephesians 3:12; 1 Timothy 2:5)
  • The Supernatural regeneration and infilling of the Holy Spirit making a believer a new creation in Christ, enabling him to live a holy and pure life, empowering him to witness effectively and equipping him for divine service. (Titus 1:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Acts 1:8)
  • The duel ordinances of (1) Water Baptism as a testimony to the reality of our identification with the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ unto new life. (Romans 6:4) and, (2) regular observance of the Lord’s Super (Communion) in remembrance of the Lord’s broken body and shed blood.
  • The cultivation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the proper exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit ( Galatians 5:22; Room 8:29; 1 Corinthians 12,13,14)
  • Healing for the believer’s physical body as was provided by Christ’s atoning work on the cross and as mediated to us by the power of His Holy Spirit. (1 Peter 2:24; Romans 8:11)
  • The spiritual unity of all true believers as fellow members of the universal Body of Christ, the Church.
  • The Bodily resurrection of all men unto eternal judgment, which will result in either eternal punishment for the wicked or eternal life for the righteous. (Matthew 25:46)
